Pestex is considered an essential business. We are operating at normal business hours and continue to service customers as scheduled.

Health and Safety of Pestex Employees

Pestex employees are following recommended strategies outlined by the CDC, including exercising Social Distancing when addressing your properties for pest issues.

  1. Employees have been instructed to stay home if they are not feeling well, without repercussion or fear of lost pay.
  2. Technicians have been informed of Social Distancing practices and asked not to shake hands or share close quarters with any customers or fellow technicians.
  3. While gloves are a standard practice in our industry, wearing of gloves has been made mandatory at all service locations.
  4. CDC guidelines for health and safety as it relates to COVID-19 have been distributed to all Pestex employees.

Staying on Top of Pest Control

While many Commercial and Restaurant operations are abbreviating business hours, meeting mandatory delivery/take-out obligations, or closing to exercise control of large group gatherings, we don’t want to let infestations abound unchecked. We trust that our customers understand that the insects and rodents that we all battle each and every day are not affected by this virus. Just the opposite – they carry uniquely dangerous viruses of their own.

More so, pest populations will thrive and flourish as restaurants and other food facilities scale back operations: these quiet, undisturbed facilities will provide an even more conducive environment for pests to accelerate their reproductive capabilities.

We Have Options

At Pestex, we also understand that with decreased hours of operation comes the potential for reduced revenue streams. We are all in this together. So, as protectors of public health, we feel it is vitally important that we continue to service our valued clients, albeit at a reduced frequency. The last thing we want is for the hard work that has been expended in your facilities to fall prey to the vermin who now enjoy a quiet, peaceful place to reproduce.

Therefore, IF YOU DECIDE TO SCALE BACK, we propose to scale back services as follows:

If you do not wish to scale back services, we are happy to extend payment terms to those business that are struggling. We all are.

This quieted period may afford us a great opportunity to work unfettered in a normally busy environment!
